When the installation calls for something that doesn’t require the load-bearing capacity of Eaton’s standard B-Line series strut system, the answer is likely to be the B-Line series mini channel system. This mini metal strut system with fittings is an economical method for supporting light load requirements. For example, it can be used as a mini electrical strut system or mounted inside an enclosure.

A mini channel strut system made to do the job

The important features of each B-Line series mini channel include:

Cold-forming in a modern rolling mill from 18–gauge (1.2mm) low-carbon plain steel strips (ASTM A1008 33,000 psi min. yield) and pre-galvanized steel strips (ASTM A653 33,000 psi min. yield)
Continuous slots with in-turned lips to allow attachments at any point
The finest-quality channel combinations created with new, high-tech welding equipment
Standard lengths of 10' (3.05m) and 20' (6.09m) for B62 series channels and 10' (3.05m) for B72 series channels with custom lengths on request

B-Line series aluminum mini strut channel systems are also available.

High-quality fittings to ensure long life

Just as mini channels are carefully crafted for long life and excellent service, so are the system fittings. Mini channel strut fittings are formed from hot-rolled pickled and oiled strip or sheet steel (ASTM A1011, HSLAS, Grade 50, Class 1)

Unless otherwise noted on the drawings, all fittings feature these dimensions:

Hole size: 9/32" (7.14mm) diameter
Hole spacing: 13/32" (10.3mm) from end and 1-1/16" (27.0mm) on-center
Width: 13/16" (20.6mm)
Thickness: 1/8" (3.2mm)

Strut materials and finishes:

Plain (ASTM A1011, HSLAS, Grade 50, Class 1)
Electro-plated zinc (ASTM B633 SC3 Type II), DURA GREEN
Pre-galvanized (ASTM A653 33,000 psi min. yield)
Hot-dipped galvanized (ASTM A123)
