Redapt stopping plugs (type A, B & dome)

Redapt stopping plugs provide a method of blanking off unused entries in hazardous area approved equipment while ensuring the integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained.​

Options in the range include the Exd flameproof/Exe increased safety series, the Exde type A & type B series, and the Exe glass-filled nylon series.

Options in the stopping plugs range

Exd/Exe type A stopping plug
The PA-U series of stopping plugs provides a method of blanking off unused entries in hazardous area approved equipment while ensuring the integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained.
Exd/Exe type B stopping plug
The PB-U series of stopping plugs provides a method of blanking off unused entries in hazardous area approved equipment while ensuring the integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained.
Exd/Exe dome head stopping plug
The PD-U series of stopping plugs provides a method of blanking off unused entries in hazardous area approved equipment while ensuring the integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained.
Exe dome head stopping plug
The CPM series is our latest polyamide Ex eb and Ex tb certified stopping plugs. Manufactured for Ex environments designed to close unused entries with the convenience of installation by Allen key, flat blade screwdriver or by wrench.

Integral o-rings available for additional protection

All parallel male threads are supplied with an o-ring seal as standard to maintain IP66/IP68 level of ingress protection.

Tapered male thread options are not normally supplied complete with an o-ring seal; thread sealant should be used to maintain the desired level of ingress protection. If an o-ring seal is required (clearance holes), this can be available as an option.​

​CPM plugs are designed to achieve an IP66 protection rating by design without the need for additional o-rings. An additional seal can be provided to meet IP67/68​.
